Why this event

Speed is the universal metric.

Every sport rewards speed. Football, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, hockey — the kid who closes ground faster wins more. A 40-yard dash strips out everything else: no ball, no plays, no positions. Just how fast.

01

One number

A 40-yard dash is the cleanest measurement in athletics. No subjective scoring, no positions, no team variance. Your time is your time. The most-tested metric in pro athletics.

02

Two attempts

First run sets the baseline. Coaches give feedback. Second run is the real one. That's how real measurement happens — opportunity to correct, room to improve, no excuse if the time stands.

03

NFL standards

Coached by the team that trains pros across the NFL, NBA, MLB, and Olympic-level athletes. Same warmup, same protocol, same coaching standard. Just compressed into one morning.

NFL Vets in the building

Watched by athletes who've been there.

Yo's reaching out to NFL veterans who've competed at the highest level themselves. They'll watch run attempts, share coaching cues between rounds, and stick around for medals. The exact lineup is locked in June — for now, just know they're confirmed.

Confirmed for July 8

NFL Vet appearance.

Names announced in June. What matters now: the athletes coming out July 8 will run their 40s under the watch of veterans who've stood at the line themselves. They'll coach, they'll watch, and they'll line up for photos with the kids who put up the fastest numbers.

Coached by

The same staff that trains pros.

Every warmup, every coaching cue, every measurement comes from the team that trains pros across the NFL, NBA, MLB, and Olympic-level competitors year-round. One morning. One number. One chance to prove it.

Parent FAQ

Common questions.

What does my athlete need to bring?

Athletic clothes, indoor and outdoor training shoes, a water bottle, and a snack. YMP supplies the timing equipment, the warmup, and the coaching staff.

How does the time slot work?

Each grade has its own thirty-minute window. Grade 9 at 9:00, Grade 10 at 9:30, Grade 11 at 10:00, Grade 12 at 10:30. Each grade is capped at twenty-five athletes. Show up fifteen minutes before your slot to check in and meet the staff.
